CHILDREN FROM VARIOUS DELHI SCHOOLS VISIT CBI HEADQUARTERS;
DIRECTOR, CBI URGES THEM TO HELP FIGHT CORRUPTION IN SOCIETY.

Students from various schools of Delhi, namely Sanskriti School; Modern School (Barakhamba Road); Delhi Public School(R.K.Puram) & St.Xavier Senior Secondary School(Raj Niwas Marg) visited CBI Headquarters in July-August, 2011 and interacted with senior officers of the CBI. The students belonging to Classes IX to XI came in separate groups of 60-70 on Fridays to have a feel of the working of CBI. The students were taken to the CBI Gallery & Museum and given a demonstration of gadgets & techniques used by Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in crime investigation.

Interacting with the students, Director, CBI Shri A.P.Singh said that the only way to fight corruption in society is to involve school children in spreading awareness of the ill-effects of corruption. Shri A.P.Singh called upon teachers to inculcate in school children a strong sense of morality and correctness. The Director, CBI asked children to influence their parents, relatives and peers and begin an informal movement against corrupt practices in daily life. Shri A.P.Singh said a campaign against corruption which has the participation and active involvement of school children will go a long way and produce excellent results.

The students were given a presentation about the activities of CBI by DIG(Training). The interaction with senior officers was focused on creating awareness about legal safeguards against corruption and to explore ways to curb the menace of corruption in society.

More interaction on similar lines with students from various government, private and public schools are planned in the near future.
