CBI registers a case against The Then Director COFEPOSA (Ministry of Finance) for possession of Disproportionate Assets.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against the then Director, COFEPOSA in the Ministry of Finance, New Delhi U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 for allegedly possession of disproportionate assets.The complaint was received from CVC, New Delhi.

Searches were conducted today at various locations in Kanpur, Patna, Gurgaon and Delhi. Two properties in Anand Niketan/Satya Niketan, New Delhi; one property at Dwarka, New Delhi; three properties at Patna; one property at Kanpur; one property at Gurgaon and seven agriculture properties in UP & Bihar were unearthed.Searches have also revealed fixed deposits worth Rs.35 lakhs; 10 Life Insurance Policies; 33 bank accounts; five credit cards and other incriminating documents.

Further investigation is continuing.
