CBI FILES CHARGESHEET AGAINST THREE OFFICIALS OF CIRT, PUNE AND FIVE OFFICIALS OF ALWAR BASED PRIVATE COMPANY & OTHERS.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed charge sheet in the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Pune U/s 511 IPC r/w 120 B, 420, 465, 476 & 471 IPC & Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 against former Director of CIRT, Pune, the then Head, Technical Directorate, CIRT, the then Head, Engineering Division, CIRT, Pune and five officers of Alwar based private company and Yamuna Nagar based Company & its one employee.

It was mentioned in chargesheet that officers of CIRT allegedly got prepared false & fabricated reports in the matter of testing of Marine Board (Plywood) supplied by Alwar (Rajasthan) based private company to be used in CNG buses supplied to Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). It is alleged that CIRT gave false & misleading testing reports and kept DTC in dark. The Alwar(Rajasthan) based company got manufactured buses prior to receiving testing reports from CIRT.

The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial
