CBI REGISTERS A CASE AGAINST THE THEN UNION MINISTER OF COMMUNICATIONS & IT, AND OTHERS UNDER RELEVANT SECTIONS OF PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION ACT & IPC AND CONDUCTS SEARCHES

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a Case on 9th October 2011 against the then Union Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Director of a Chennai based private television network company; Director of UK & Malaysia based Communication network Company; Chairman of another Malaysia based Communications Company; three private Communication Companies based at Chennai, Malaysia & UK and other Unknown officials/ Persons U/s 120-B of IPC, Sections 7,12 and Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Searches are being conducted at nine places in Delhi & Chennai at the premises of the accused persons.
