The Central Bureau of Investigation has recovered a minor girl from Gopal Nagar, Jaipur(Rajasthan) after earnest efforts to trace her. The girl is the daughter of an advocate based at Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh).

A Preliminary Enquiry was registered by CBI on 21.09.2011 on the direction of the Hon'ble High Court of MP, Gwalior Bench, Gwalior in Habeas Corpus Petition No. 2566/2011 to trace the minor daughter of an advocate of Gwalior and to produce her before the High Court.

It was alleged that the minor daughter of Gwalior based advocate, left her residence on 7.4.2011 at about 10 am to attend coaching class for Chartered Accountancy at Phool Bagh Chowrah, Gwalior and since then her whereabouts were not known.

A FIR was earlier registered at PS Hazrat Kotwali, Gwalior (MP) U/s 363, 364 and 120 IPC against an accused of Hanuman Garh (Rajasthan) and other unknown persons. Aggrieved with the quality and pace of investigation conducted by local police the advocate filed the said writ petition in the Gwalior Bench of High Court of Madhya Pradesh seeking CBI investigation in the case and accordingly the High Court directed the CBI to trace the girl.

CBI conducted raids at the possible hideouts of accused in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana. A reward of Rs.One lakh was also declared for the general public to get some clue in the case.

The girl was recovered along with the accused at Gopal Nagar, Jaipur by CBI on 05.12.2011. She was produced before the Gwalior Bench of Madhya Pradesh of High Court. Today, she was handed over to her parents and the accused was handed over to Local Police.
