CBI REGISTERS TWO SEPARATE CASES AGAINST A GARRISON ENGINEER (A MAJOR RANK OFFICER) AND COMMANDER WORKS ENGINEER OF MES, SRIGANGANAGAR FOR DEMANDING BRIBES

           The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered two separate cases against a Garrison Engineer (a major rank officer) of MES, Lalgarh Jatan Sadulshahar, Sriganganagar (Rajasthan) and a Commander Works Engineer MES, Military Station, Sriganganagar for demanding bribes from complainants in connection with clearing of their bills.

            Traps were laid by CBI after due verification and both Garrison Engineer (a major rank officer) & Commander Works Engineer were caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.20,000/- and Rs.50,000/- respectively from the complainants.

            Searches were conducted at the residence of both the accused persons. During the search of Commander Works Engineer (CWE), a cash of Rs.57.84/-Lakh(approx); jewellery worth about Rs.7 Lakh (approx); savings Rs.2.50 Lakh and documents of Flat at Central Spine, Vidhyadharnagar, Jaipur & Parental House at Malviyanagar, Jaipur were recovered besides other documents including Demat Account. The search at the residence of Garrison Engineer revealed some bank account, which are under scrutiny.

           Further investigation is continuing.
