CBI REGISTERS A CASE AGAINST TWO FORMER DIRECTORS OF AIR INDIA FOR ALLEGED FINANCIAL IRREGULARITIES.

           The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against the then Director(Flight Services) and the then Director(Material), both of Air India, Mumbai relating to alleged financial irregularities in the purchase of Potable Entertainment Appliances(PEA) from private firms causing loss to the Government Exchequer.

 

            Searches were conducted on 12.01.2012 & 13.01.2012 at 13 places at Mumbai and Delhi in the office & residential premises of the accused persons. Gold ornaments to the tune of Rs.9 lacs along with the bank balance of Rs.17.35 lacs and documents of seven properties were recovered in the name of the then Director(Flight Services). The documents of three properties were recovered in the name of the then Director(Material).

 

           Further investigation is continuing.
