CBI ARRESTS THE THEN VICE CHAIRMAN & MD OF ANDHRA PRADESH INDUSTRIAL INFRASTRUCTURE CORPORATION (APIIC),PRESENTLY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY (HOME) OF ANDHRA PRADESH IN AN ON-GOING INVESTIGATION OF A CASE

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested the then Vice Chairman & MD of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (an IAS Officer), presently Principal Secretary (Home) of Andhra Pradesh Government in an on-going investigation of a case.

 

            A case was registered U/s 120-B r/w 420, 409, 420, 477A of Indian Penal Code and Sec.13(2) r/w 13(1) (c) & (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act on the orders of the Hon’ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh in Writ Petition No.29358 of 2010 against Hyderabad-based private Real Estate company, its sister concerns and others on the allegation of execution of a real estate project at Manikonda in Hyderabad with the connivance of certain public servants of the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

 

            The accused was posted as Vice Chairman & Managing Director/CMD of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), Hyderabad during the period 2005-2009 and the integrated project was being executed by the Hyderabad based private Real Estate Company under his supervision.

 

            The accused is being produced today before the Special Judge for CBI Cases, Hyderabad.
