CBI REGISTERS A CASE AGAINST AN ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER OF DELHI POLICE FOR POSSESSION OF ALLEGED DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case U/s 13(1)(e) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 against an Assistant Commissioner of Delhi Police for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

 

            It is alleged that accused is in possession of 05 properties either in his name or in the name of his family members and also having several benami properties at other places in Delhi.

 

            Searches were conducted at five locations in Delhi including the residence and office premises of Assistant Commissioner and at the premises of certain persons known to him.

 

            Searches led to the recovery of documents pertaining to properties in Delhi & Faridabad; bank accounts statements and various other incriminating documents.

 

            Further investigation is continuing.
