CBI FILES CHARGESHEET AGAINST A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT (ANDHRA PRADESH), FIVE PRIVATE COMPANIES AND SEVEN OTHER ACCUSED PERSONS INCLUDING THE THEN VC/MD OF ANDHRA PRADESH INDUSTRIAL INFRASTRUCTURE CORPORATION (APIIC)

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a charge sheet in the Court of Special Judge for CBI cases, Hyderabad against a Member of Parliament from Andhra Pradesh; three private Pharmaceutical companies; their Directors/Managing Directors;, One Publication Company; One Infrastructure Company; the then VC & MD of APIIC (IAS officer) ; the then Zonal Manager APIIC and two other persons U/s 120-B r/w 420, 409, 420, 468 and 471 IPC and Section 11, 12, 13 (2) r/w 13 (1) (c) & (d) of PC Act, 1988.

 

            The accused have been charge sheeted for the offences of criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, cheating, falsification of documents for the purpose of cheating, using of forged documents as genuine, abuse of official position in allotment of lands at SEZ Jedcherla and EPIP, Pashamylaram by Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation(APIIC) and as quid-pro-quo investments by the said companies/ individuals in a Private Publications Company and an Infrastructure Company .

 

            After thorough investigation, Hyderabad Branch of CBI has today filed a charge sheet.

 

            The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
