THEN ADDITIONAL GENERAL MANAGER OF POWER GRID CORPORATION SENTENCED TO UNDERGO SEVEN YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT WITH A FINE OF RS. TWO LAKH IN A BRIBERY CASE

            The Special Judge, CBI cases, Ghaziabad has today convicted Sh Sushil Kumar Gupta, the then Addl. General Manager, Power Grid Corpn. of India Ltd., Gautam Budh Nagar (UP) in a bribery case and sentenced him to undergo seven years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Two Lakh.

 

            The CBI had caught red handed Sh Sushil Kumar Gupta, the then Addl. General Manager, Power Grid Corpn. of India Ltd while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000/- from the complainant on 29.01.2010 to facilitate him in the smooth running of his vehicles, which were hired by Power Grid Corpn. of India Ltd., HVDC Terminal, Vidut Nagar, Dadri, Gautam Budh Nagar (UP).

 

            A charge-sheet was filed in this case on 26.6.2010 in the Court of Special Judge, CBI cases, Ghaziabad(UP).

 

            The Trial Court found the accused guilty for the offence and convicted him.
