ACCUSED SENTENCED TO UNDERGO LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR MURDER OF A MINOR

            The Additional District & Sessions Judge convicted Anilmon Thomas, the then Forest Watcher, Naikalath house, Pullankunnu, Malampuzha, District Palakkad( Kerala) U/s 325, 201, 328, 367, 377 & 302 of IPC and sentenced him to undergo Life Imprisonment & directed that the accused should not be released from the prison for the rest of his life and to pay total fine of Rs.70,000/- for the murder of Shri Ajin(a minor), resident of District Palakkad. The Court has also ordered for an enquiry against one witness U/s 340(1) Cr.PC for giving false evidence (Punishable u/s 193 CrPC) and to take necessary action thereof

 

            The investigation revealed that Shri Ajin, aged 14 years, resident of Mankurissi, Palakkad District left his house on 11.05.2006 to Malampuzha Dam during his summer vacation. The accused Anilmon Thomas who was working as temporary Forest Watcher at Malampuzha enticed him, purchased toddy and after consuming it, indulged in unnatural sex with the deceased Ajin at the bottom of the dam near to reservoir. During the course of the unnatural sex, Ajin fell on the ground, got injury on his forehead and became unconscious. The accused pushed the unconscious. Ajin into Malampuzha Dam reservoir and killed him.

 

            After thorough investigation, CBI filed a chargesheet in the Designated Court. The Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
