CBI FILES A CHARGESHEET AGAINST FIVE ACCUSED PERSONS IN CONNECTION WITH SHEHLA MASOOD MURDER CASE

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has today filed a chargesheet against five accused persons U/s 301/201/120-B/34 of IPC and Section 25 & 27 of Arms Act in the Court of Special Magistrate, CBI Cases, Indore (MP) relating to Shehla Masood Murder Case.

 

            It was alleged that Ms.Shehla Masood, an RTI Activist was killed outside her residence at Koh-e-Fiza, Bhopal(MP) inside her car on 16.08.2011. Initially, the case was investigated by Bhopal Police.

 

            CBI had registered the case on 03.09.2011 U/s 302 of IPC against unknown persons in relation to the alleged murder of Ms.Shehla Masood on the request of the Madhya Pradesh Govt. and further Notification from Govt. of India. The CBI took up the investigation of the Crime No.533/2011 U/s 302 IPC, earlier registered at Police Station Koh-E-Fiza, Distt. Bhopal(MP).

 

            The investigation revealed that Bhopal-based Interior Designer had alleged relations with a person of Bhopal and she was very possessive about him. She had severe jealously and hatred towards the deceased as she doubted her to be close of the said person. The said accused entrusted task of eliminating the deceased to another accused of Bhopal,who arranged two persons from Kanpur for the murder. The Bhopal-based accused provided them with weapon, mobile phones and motor-cycle also. It was also revealed that one of the accused persons, who was a close friend of Interior designer had assisted in planning this murder. She also removed motor cycle from the residence of Interior Designer used in the crime. During the investigation, CBI had collected sufficient evidence, including forensic ones relating to the said murder.

 

            After thorough investigation, CBI filed a chargesheet.

 

           Further investigation in this case is continuing U/s 173(8) Cr.P.C to unearth the larger conspiracy so as to identify other conspirators/ perpetrators, if any, of this crime.

 

            The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
