CBI REGISTERS A CASE AGAINST A SENIOR SAFETY CUM PRODUCTION ASSISTANT OF SECL FOR POSSESSION OF DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS AND RECOVERS CASH AROUND RS.44.19 LAKHS

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against the Senior Safety cum Production Assistant, South Eastern Coalfields Ltd.(SECL), Nowrozabad Area, Shahdol(M.P) & also a union leader of SECL on the allegation that the accused person acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

 

            During searches at the residential premises of the said accused person at Umariya(Madhya Pradesh), cash amount of Rs.44.19 lakhs(approx); a large amount of Gold Jewelry being valued through Government Approved Valuer and documents of purchase of immovable properties such as house, plot; 10 acres of agricultural land amounting to Rs. 40 lacs(approx) have been recovered. The Balance in various bank accounts & FDs worth Rs. 50 lacs approx in the names of the accused person and his family members were also found. The said accused is also having a bank locker in his name at Umariya, which is yet to be operated.

 

            Further investigation is continuing.
