CBI REGISTERS A CASE AGAINST A CHIEF MANAGER OF HINDUSTAN COPPER LTD. FOR POSSESION OF DISPRPORTIONATE ASSETS

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against the then Chief Manager (Marketing), Hindustan Copper Ltd., Malanjkhand, Distt. Balaghant (M.P.) on the allegation that the accused person acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income during the check period i.e. 01.01.1999 to 31.12.2009.

 

            Searches were conducted at the residential premises of the accused person at Malad (West), Mumbai etc. which yielded a recovery of cash of around Rs. 1,00,000/-; Gold & Silver Jewellery worth Rs.25 lakhs (Approx); documents relating to purchase of two houses at Mumbai and balance in various bank accounts & FDs worth Rs.37.62 lakhs (Approx) in his name and in the name of his family members. Gold & diamond jewellery worth Rs.15 lakhs (Approx) was also found in a bank locker at Mumbai.

 

            The investigation is continuing.
