CBI ARRESTS A FIELD OFFICER OF STATE BANK OF INDIA IN A BRIBERY CASE

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Field Officer, State Bank of India, Manawar Branch, Distt. Dhar (M.P.) for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 9,000/- from the complainant.

 

            It was alleged in the complaint that the accused had demanded a bribe of Rs. 9,000/- from the complainant for sanctioning a crop loan of Rs.Three lakhs.

 

            CBI registered a case U/s 7 of P.C. Act 1988 and laid a trap. The accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 9,000/- from the complainant. Incriminating documents recovered during searches are being scrutinized.

 

            The accused was produced before the Special Judge for CBI cases, Indore (M.P.) and remanded to custody.
