CBI FILES CHARGESHEET AGAINST TWO ACCUSED IN A CASE RELATING TO SUBMISSION OF ALLEGED FAKE DOCUMENTS TO OBTAIN INDIAN PASSPORT.

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has today filed a chargesheet against an accused of Haridwar (Uttarakhand) U/s 120-B, 420, 468, 471 of IPC & Section 12 of Passport Act, 1967 and the then Principal of Sanskrit Mahavidayala, Khurja (U.P.) U/s 120-B, 420, 468 of IPC in the court of Special Judge, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), in a case relating to submission of alleged fake & forged documents to obtain Indian Passport. A case was registered by CBI on 24 July, 2011 against an accused of Haridwar (Uttarakhand) and other unknown persons U/s 120-B, 420, 467, 471 of IPC and Section 12 of Passport Act, 1967. A Preliminary Enquiry was earlier registered on 26.06.2011 against the Haridwar based accused. It was alleged in the complaint that the accused had wrongfully obtained an Indian Passport. Enquiry established that the accused in connivance with some unknown persons has furnished false information & forged documents to the Passport office at Bareilly (U.P.) for getting an Indian passport issued. The investigation had established that the accused, in connivance with a co-accused had furnished false information and submitted fake & forged High School and Graduation certificates before the passport authorities for obtaining an Indian Passport.

 

            Further investigation is continuing.

 

            The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
