CBI ANNOUNCES A REWARD OF UPTO RS.ONE LAKH FOR CREDIBLE INFORMATION LEADING TO IDENTIFICATION / ARREST OF PERPETRATORS OF CRIME IN CONNECTION WITH CBI PROBE INTO RECENT INCIDENTS OF VIOLENCE IN ASSAM

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has announced a reward of upto Rs. One Lakh for credible & relevant information / photo/ AV clip leading to identification/ arrest of perpetrators of crime in connection with CBI probe into recent incidents of violence in certain places of Assam.

 

            An appeal is made that if someone has any information about these cases including audio or video recordings or photographs of the crime which may help CBI in reconstructing the scene of crime or identification of miscreants, the person concerned may contact CBI officers on mobile telephone number 8811099997 or 8811099996 or send an SMS at these numbers on which the CBI officer would contact the person. Information can also be faxed at 03664-241253 or e-mailed at hobsc1del@cbi.gov.in or sent at CBI Camp Office - Deosri, BRPL Guest House, New Bongaigaon (Assam).

 

            Identity of the informant would be kept secret.

 

            The CBI has registered seven cases on 10.08.2012 relating to recent ethnic incidents of violence in the districts of Kokrajhar, Dubri & Chirang of Assam on the request of State Government of Assam and after further issue of requisite Notifications from Government of India and has taken up the investigation of these cases which were earlier registered by Assam Police.
