CBI ARRESTS A CISF DOCTOR ALONG WITH A PRIVATE PERSON; AND, A BANK OFFICER IN TWO SEPARATE CASES OF BRIBERY

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Doctor of 8th Battalion, Central Industrial Security Force(CISF), Amber, Jaipur and a private person for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 8,000/-from the complainant.

 

            The Complainant alleged in his complaint that he has qualified SSC written examination for the post of Sub-Inspector in CPOs and reported at CISF 8th Battalion, Amber, Jaipur for physical and medical examination. The Doctor has demanded bribe of Rs. 10,000/- from him through a Proprietor of a Medical Store at Amber, Jaipur. CBI registered a case and laid a trap. The Proprietor was caught red handed while having demanded and accepted bribe of Rs. 8,000/- from the complainant on behalf of the Doctor. The Doctor was also arrested.

 

            Subsequently, search was conducted at GO's Mess, CISF 8th Battalion, Amber, Jaipur where the Doctor was staying and a cash of Rs. 1,00,500/- was recovered from his possession.

 

            In another case, the Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Officer of Punjab National Bank, Telo Branch, Bokaro (Jharkhand) for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000/- from the complainant.

 

            A case was registered U/s 7of PC Act,1988 against an Officer of Punjab National Bank, Telo Branch, Bokaro, Jharkhand for demanding an illegal gratification of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant for updating the respective bank pass books maintained with the bank and withdrawal of credit of arrear widower pension and arrear child pension. The CBI, laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant.

 

            Further Investigation is continuing in both cases.
