CBI ARRESTS A SECTION OFFICER OF NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION IN A BRIBERY CASE

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Section Officer, National Council for Teacher Education, Bangalore for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000/- from the Complainant.

 

            A case was registered against Section Officer, National Council for Teacher Education, Bangalore U/s 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1998 on the allegations of demanding a bribe of Rs.Two lakh from a Educational Society for handing over the Letter of Intent to them to commence a new course. CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000/- from the complainant. Searches were carried out at the office and residential premises of the accused.

 

            The arrested accused is being produced today before the Special Judge for CBI, Cases, Bangalore.
