THREE PUBLIC SERVANTS SENTENCED TO UNDERGO RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT FOR UPTO TWO YEARS IN SEPARATE CASES OF BRIBERY

            The Special Judge, CBI cases, Jabalpur has convicted Shri Ram Chandra Mishra, the then Sales Manager and Shri Mintu Dubey, the then Manager (Transport and Quality Control), Jayant Project, Northern Coalfields Limited(NCL), Singrauli(M.P) and sentenced them to undergo two years Rigorous Imprisonment with total fine of Rs.10,000/- in a bribery case.

 

            CBI filed charge sheet before the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Jabalpur on 30/03/2010 U/s 120B IPC and 7 & 13(2) r/w (1)(d) P.C. Act. 1988, alleging that Shri R.C. Mishra, being a public servant in his capacity as Sales Manager, Jayant Project, NCL, Singrauli had demanded an illegal gratification of Rs.50,000/- from the complainant, an authorized representative of a Coal Depot, in the matter of allowing lifting of the 1000 MT coal purchased by their Coal Depot through E- auction under the allotment order dated 16/03/2009.

 

            On 22.04.2009, accused Shri RC Mishra demanded and accepted the part bribe money to the tune of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant at the office premises of the CHP Site of Jayant Project, NCL. Shri Mishra handed over the bribe money to Shri Mintu Dubey, Manager (Transport and Quality Control), Jayant Project, Northern Coalfields Limited(NCL), Singrauli. Both were arrested.

 

            In another case, the Special Judge for CBI Cases, Indore has convicted Shri Sitaram Patidar, the then Business Facilitator for SBI, Singhana Road, Manawar Branch, Manawar, Distt. Dhar (M.P) and sentenced him to undergo one year Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 2,000/-.

 

            A case was registered on 01.12.2010 against Shri Sitaram Patidar, Business Facilitator for SBI, Singhana Road, Manawar Branch, Manawar, Distt. Dhar on the allegations that Shri Sitaram Patidar had demanded a bribe of Rs.5,500/- for sanctioning a loan of Rs.1.14 lacs (Approx) to the brother of complainant. The accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.5,500/- from complainant.

 

            CBI filed a charge sheet on 29.12.2010 in the Court of Special Judge for CBI Cases, Indore against Shri Sitaram Patidar. The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
