DIG, CBI SHRI SURESH KUMAR PALSANIA PASSES AWAY

            Shri Suresh Kumar Palsania, an IPS Officer of Orissa Cadre-1996 Batch passed away at a Delhi hospital late last night. He was 44. Shri Palsania was undergoing treatment for a serious illness and developed complications due to infection. He is survived by his wife and a son.

 

            Shri S.K. Palsania, was presently serving as DIG, Anti Corruption Branch, Delhi.

 

 

            CBI Director Shri A.P.Singh, who is at present attending the Interpol General Assembly Conference at Rome expressed his deep shock over the sad demise of Shri Palsania. He said, "We are all devastated and crushed by the untimely demise of Shri Palsania. He was one of the best officers of the CBI". Shri A.P.Singh described Shri Palsania as an outstanding investigator who meticulously probed several sensitive cases, including the spectrum allocation cases, CWG related cases and other important matters while serving in the Anti Corruption Branch, Delhi Zone. The Director said that apart from his professional excellence, Shri Palsania was a cheerful and warm person who will be deeply missed by all in the CBI. Offering heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Shri Singh assured all help and support to his family in this very difficult period.

 

            Shri S.K.Palsania, an engineering graduate, joined CBI in July, 2006 and held several important posts, such as AIG (Policy); SP, ACB, Delhi & DIG, ACB, Delhi. He was decorated with the Police Medal for Meritorious Services on the occasion of Republic Day, 2012.

 

            The last rites are being held today at his native place in Jaswant Pura, Tehsil-Shahpura, Distt. Jaipur(Rajasthan). A Condolence Meeting was held today in CBI HQ, New Delhi to mourn the death of Shri Palsania.
