TWO YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO THEN STATION MASTER OF RAILWAYS IN A BRIBERY CASE

            The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Mumbai has convicted Shri Vinayak Ramchandra Shewale, then Station Master, Byculla Railway Station, Mumbai and sentenced him to undergo two years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.4000/- in a bribery case.

 

            CBI had registered a case against Shri Vinayak Ramchandra Shewale, Station Master, Byculla Railway Station, Mumbai U/s 7 and 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act, 1988 on the allegation that he demanded a bribe of Rs.2100/- from the complainant to continue his business of juice stall at Platform of Byculla Railway Station, Mumbai. A trap was laid and the accused was arrested while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.2100/- from the complainant.

 

            A charge sheet was filed on 29.09.2006 in the Court of Special Judge for CBI Cases, Mumbai against Shri Vinayak Ramchandra Shewale.

 

            The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
