THREE YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT WITH FINE OF Rs. ONE LAKH TO THEN CHIEF MANAGER OF HINDUSTAN AERONAUTICS LIMITED IN A DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS CASE

            The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bangalore has convicted Shri B. Tulasiraman, then Chief Manager, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.(HAL), Aircraft Division, Bangalore and sentenced him to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine Rs.1,00,000/- in disproportionate assets case.

 

            The CBI had filed a charge sheet after completion of investigation against Shri B. Tulasiraman, then Chief Manager, HAL, Aircraft Division, Bangalore, and others U/s. 13(2) r/w 13(1) (e) of PC Act, 1988. The allegations as per the charge sheet were that Shri B. Tulasiraman had acquired assets worth Rs.18.89 Lakh(approx) in his name and in the names of his family members, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income.

 

            The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
