CBI ARRESTS AN EXAMINER OF TRADE MARKS IN A BRIBERY CASE

            The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Examiner of Trade Marks, Mumbai for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 4,900/- from the Complainant.

 

            A case was registered against the Examiner of Trade Marks, Mumbai U/s 7 of PC Act,1988 for demanding a bribe of Rs.5,600/- from the complainant for examining / processing 14 application for Trade Marks filed by the complainant for his clients in Trade Marks office. CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.4,900/- from the Complainant.

 

            Searches were conducted at the residential and office premises of the accused. Incriminating documents have been recovered.

 

            The arrested accused was produced before the Designated Court at Mumbai and remanded to Custody.
