THREE YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO THEN BRANCH MANAGER OF PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK IN A BRIBERY CASE

            The Special Judge for CBI cases, Bhopal has convicted Shri K.K.Namdeo, the then Branch Manager, Punjab National Bank, Multai, Distt. Betul (MP) U/s 7 & 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act, 1988 in a bribery case and sentenced him to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with total fine of Rs. 40,000/-.

 

            CBI had registered a Case on 20.05.2011 against Shri K.K.Namdeo, the then Branch Manager, Punjab National Bank, Multai, Distt. Betul (MP) U/s 7 of PC Act 1988 on the allegation that Shri K.K.Namdeo demanded bribe of Rs. 56,000/- from the complainant for getting loan of Rs.5.6 lacs, sanctioned and disbursed to him. Shri K.K.Namdeo was caught red handed while demanding & accepting the bribe of Rs. 5000/- from the complainant on 21.05.2011.

 

            After investigation, a charge sheet U/s 7 & 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act 1988 against Shri K.K.Namdeo was filed on 30.06.2011 in the court of Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bhopal.

 

            The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
