TWO YEARS IMPRISONMENT WITH FINE OF Rs. 15,000/- TO A PRIVATE PERSON FOR CAUSING LOSS OF Rs. 2.24 LAKH(APPROX) TO STATE BANK OF INDIA

            The Special Judge, CBI Court No. 1, Mirzapur, Ahmedabad has convicted Shri Mukesh Kumar Bechardas Patel, Private Person U/s 120-B, 420 of IPC and sentenced him to undergo two Years Simple Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 15,000/- for causing loss of Rs. 2.24 Lakh(approx) to State Bank of India.

 

            This case was registered on 30.08.1994 against the then Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Ellisbridge Branch, Ahmedabad and Shri Mukesh Kumar Bechardas Patel, Private Person. The Branch Manager misused his official position and in conspiracy with Shri Mukesh Kumar Bechardas Patel allegedly sanctioned various credit facilities and thereby caused loss of Rs. 2.24 Lakh(approx) to SBI. A chargesheet was filed on 09.05.95 in the Designated Court. The then Branch Manager has been absconding and he was declared PO during the trial, so case is pending against him.

 

            The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
