                 The Central Bureau of Investigation has traced a missing person, a resident of village Thira, Distt. Mandi (Himachal Pradesh). He was produced before the Hon’ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh and the court appreciated the efforts and role of CBI in tracing him out. On missing person's consenting to go home with his mother & sister, he was handed over to his mother, present in the court.


                 CBI had registered a case U/s 364,365 IPC on 01.01.2015 on the orders dated 05.12.2014 of Himachal Pradesh High Court in CWP No. 7055 of 2014 alleging therein that the said missing person was abducted with intent to murder or wrongfully confined to restrain him from getting married as fixed for 3/4th Feburary, 2013. On 28.01.2013, the missing person left his residence for shopping from Chandigarh. While coming back from Chandigarh to Sarkaghat Distt Mandi (HP) by bus, he had gone missing and there was no clue of his whereabouts. A FIR No 41 of 2013 at Police Station Sarkaghat District Mandi was registered U/s 364/365 of IPC and Local Police could not locate the said missing person.


                 Aggrieved by the investigation of local Police, sister of the said missing person approached Hon’ble High Court and the investigation of Local Police was transferred to CBI.

                 CBI took up the investigation of the said FIR of State Police and strenuous efforts led to him being located at Ujjhani, Distt. Badaun (UP). The investigation further disclosed that the said person had allegedly converted to a saint and was away to Mahakumbh at Trayambakeshar. He was traced at Neel Giri Parbat Trayambakeshwar, Distt Nasik (Maharastra). It was alleged that he had gone missing while en-route from Chandigarh to Sarkhaghat on his own.
