FOUR YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO THEN SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICER OF EMPLOYEES STATE INSURANCE CORPORATION AND THEN MANAGER OF FCI IN SEPARATE CASES OF BRIBERY

            The Principal Special Judge for CBI cases, Visakhaptnam has convicted Shri Mohammed Khaja Khadeeruddin, then Social Security Officer, Programme Implementation & Controlling of Inspections, Employees State Insurance Corporation, Regional Office, Gunadala, Vijayawada, Krishna District and sentenced him to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.40,000/- in a bribery case.

            The investigation revealed that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs.25,000/- from the complainant for not bringing the trainees under insurance coverage; not imposing fine against them and to close the case relating to complainant’s firm. The accused was caught red handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.25,000/- from the complainant.

            In another case, the Principal Special Judge for CBI Cases, Hyderabad has convicted Shri T. Bhava Singh, then Manager, District Office, Food Corporation of India (FCI), Nalgonda and sentenced him to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 20,000/- in a bribery case.

            This case was registered on 21.09.2016 against Shri T. Bhava Singh, Manager, District Office, FCI, Nalgonda, on the allegations of demanding a bribe of Rs.15,000/- from the complainant for passing drinking water supply bills of the complainant. CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.7500/- from the complainant.

            The trial court found the accused guilty and convicted them.
