THREE YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO THEN BRANCH MANAGER OF STATE BANK OF HYDERABAD AND THREE PRIVATE PERSONS IN A CHEATING CASE

The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) has sentenced Sh. Ravindra J. Pathrabe then Branch Manager, State Bank of Hyderabad, MP Nagar Branch, Bhopal to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 80,000/-; Sh. Pushpendra Mishra, then Proprietor M/s. Prakhar Builders & Developers to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 70,000/- & his wife Smt. Archana Mishra to undergo three years RI with fine of Rs. 30,000/- and Sh. Devansh Shukla to undergo three years RI with fine of Rs. 70,000/-.

CBI had registered a case on 01.12.2011 U/s 120-B, 420, 468, 471 of IPC and 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act, 1988, on a complaint from State Bank of Hyderabad, Head Office, Hyderabad, on the allegations that Sh. Ravindra J. Pathrabe, Branch Manager, SBH, MP Nagar Branch, Bhopal, during the year 2009-2010, entered into criminal conspiracy with Proprietors of Private Construction Firms who were involved in housing constructions and conspired with the unknown borrowers. The accused fraudulently cheated the State Bank of Hyderabad, Bhopal to the tune of Rs. 318.52 lakh (approx) by way of facilitating & availing of Housing Loans and submitting false & forged documents.

After completion of investigation, two Charge-Sheets were filed on 29.04.2014 in the Court of Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bhopal. The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted them.
